There’s a joke going around in the real estate world that next to terrorism, housing concern will be the leading issue in this year’s presidential election in the United States. But apparently there is some truth to this jest because we have heard not only once from our presidential aspirants about their thoughts on the foreclosure problem facing the country.
Known to all, the Republican group advocates the free market concept whereas the Democrats adhere to government intervention approach. Early at this point in the presidential race, political pundits are already assuming that popular votes will go to the candidate whose stand on the real estate predicament meets most of majority voters’ expectations. As in other elections in the past, the victory of a candidate is greatly sustained by economic principles.
